Antares is the brightest star in the constellation of Scorpius. It has the Bayer designation α Scorpii, which is Latinised to Alpha Scorpii. Often referred to as "the heart of the scorpion", Antares is flanked by σ Scorpii and τ Scorpii near the center of the constellation. Distinctly reddish when viewed with the naked eye, Antares is a slow irregular variable star that ranges in brightness from an apparent visual magnitude of +0.6 down to +1.6. It is on average the fifteenth-brightest star in the night sky. Classified as spectral type M1.5Iab-Ib, Antares is a red supergiant, a large evolved massive star and one of the largest stars visible to the naked eye. Its exact size remains uncertain, but if placed at the center of the Solar System, it would reach to somewhere between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter. Its mass is calculated to be around 12 times that of the Sun. Antares is the brightest and most evolved stellar member of the nearest OB association, the Scorpius–Centaurus association, located at the rim of the Upper Scorpius part illuminating the Rho Ophiuchi cloud complex in its foreground. Antares is a member of the Upper Scorpius subgroup of the association, which contains thousands of stars with a mean age of 11 million years, about 170 parsecs (550 ly) from Earth. This will be the least inclusive among the tribes of our galaxy in terms of involvement and details about their race, it's history, etc. The reason for this is the lack of involvement they have had in humanity's history and the lack of overall encounters with their species. The Antarans, like their name connotates, are indeed derived from an insectoid race and would be our galaxys' comparison to the Draco, although known to be less intrusive and more of expansionists through the establishment of new 'colonies' similar to ant colonies. They operate very much under the same Hive mind mentality of the Draco as well, and their technologies, knowledge, and MO is very much the same, although unlike the Draco, they prefer aversion than invasion to preserve their hive sturctures and generally will only attack if threatened, and if threatened, it would be a decimation of the invading force. I believe this is the primary reason the Draco have never considered attacking their race. Due to their nature, it would be mutually assured destruction if they ever decide to invade the other. Their greatest strength though, is also very much like the Draco Empire. The preservation of their Hive Queens takes priority over everything else. If attacked and killed, the Hive cannot function properly and they would be without directives. This was how the Draco Empire and the Queens of Orion were defeated by the Annunaki or rather the Pleiadian / Sirian alliance.

Their species are somewhat between the Fire element of the Pleiadian and the Air element of the Alpha Draconian. This allowed them to function somewhat on their own without the need from commands from the Hive Queen unlike the Draco which were entirely reliant on it. This would often lead to rogue colonies forming after selecting a new Queen to represent the mutineers due to them believing the newer Queen could create a stronger Hive. This however created many internal stuggles among their colonies, unlike the Draco which were entirely dedicated to their Queen and the structure of their Empire.

As a result of the internal conflicts, their species rarely dealt with outside forces, and never really had natural enemies per se, allowing them to advance and progress much faster than the Ciakar / Draco. They are considered on par with the Arcturians in terms of technologies but their technologies are often used for warfare or defense among their own colonies. Again, this would lead to the Draco avoiding their species after conquering hundreds of others. The Draco were highly intelligent and knew if they had a strong chance of winning against an opponent before engaging in combat with them. The Russian Book of ETs that was created by the KGB has most of the detailed information about the various alien races, although how much is entirely accurate is left to be said due to the information being subject to human intepretation. This book doesn't even have the details on the Antaran race, and only through the study of races similar to their own, have I been able to extrapolate and analyze their species energies, and history as a result. Like most species who share the Fire and Air elements, they are naturally Left Brain dominant and aggressive by nature. Many of the races that share similar energies, also share similar history and fates as a result. I would like to comment more on their people, but again it would be more extrapolation than anything due to the sheer lack of overall encounters and knowledge of their race. I mentioned about the Council of 5 or rather 9, and them being a part of it, this is not entirely correct and only the other 4 races among our galaxy ever joined the original Council of 5, creating the Council of 9. This is an uneasy alliance among various races in the known Universe that all have a vested interest in our current species and all wish to obtain our DNA / blood for their own experiments / projects in learning how to hybridize two completely different alien races to possibly advance their own or simply help us evolve and join them in the 'Heavens' so to speak.
